Synopsis

The session begins with a reminder of how a mechanical watch works as well as its terminology, followed by a short presentation of complications before focusing on the definition, history and techniques of the various types of striking watches (alarm, minute repeater, hour strike au passage, grande and petite sonnerie, etc.). The training ends with the presentation of the iconic striking watches from contemporary brands, as well as the latest models unveiled at the year's watch fairs.
