The history of Chanel is intimately linked to its founder, Gabrielle Chanel (1833-1971). At her instigation, the haute couture house becomes a brand whose creations obey a simple concept : elegance and sobriety. In 1987, Jacques Helleu creates the first Chanel watches and at the same time opens the first Chanel watch shop in the avenue Montaigne in Paris. In 2010, the ceramic J12 High Tech arrives on the scene as the elegant sports watch.
