Cloche de Cartier Skeleton Watch

For the fifth model in the Privé collection, Cartier is reviving the Cloche, a watch from the 1920s whose distinctive “cloche” or “bell” shape takes its name from its resemblance to a counter-top service bell. Alongside versions in yellow gold, pink gold or platinum are three skeletonised executions in pink gold or platinum (the latter with the option of diamonds). Cartier’s own 1917 MC calibre has been reworked to fit the unusual case. A delicate mesh of gears reveals itself through the transparency of the Roman numerals which are transformed into the bridges of the movement, renamed Calibre 9626 Manufacture Cartier. On this platinum version without diamonds, a limited edition of 50 pieces, the winding crown is topped with a cabochon ruby.
