Dream Watch 5 Tourbillon "Season 1"

Light and transparency underpin this fifth Dream Watch by De Bethune: a challenge thrown down by rapper Swizz Beatz and taken up by Denis Flageollet and his team. The result is this supremely futuristic watch, just ten of which will be made. Seven pieces of sapphire crystal, each crafted with distinct curves and proportions, are precisely embedded into a blued polished titanium exoskeleton. Equally avant-garde, the small two-tone sphere in the centre shows precision moon phases (accurate without adjustment for 1,112 years) while a minimalist digital display combines jumping hours and trailing minutes, visible through a hand-cut, cabochon-shaped crystal. Turning the watch over reveals the sapphire back and, through it, the finishing on the DB2149 movement whose ultra-light (0.18 grams) tourbillon completes one rotation every 30 seconds and beats time to one tenth of a second.
