Legacy Machine Split Escapement EVO
The story behind the LM Split Escapement began in 2015 when MB&F produced the longest ever balance staff, for the LM Perpetual. It traverses the entire movement to connect the large balance wheel on the front with the rest of the escapement which is positioned almost 12mm below, on the opposite side of the movement. In 2017 MB&F showcased this innovation in the LM Split Escapement. It came equipped with a manual-winding, 298-component movement with two barrels providing 72 hours of power reserve. It also incorporated a rapid date change. This same movement is now housed inside the EVO case. This new watch, on a rubber strap, is water-resistant to 80 metres and features a screw-down crown as well as the monobloc shock-absorbing FlexRing system. The entire mechanism has been rotated clockwise by 30 degrees, for an aesthetic twist. The Icy Cool version with pastel blue dial is joined by two limited editions of 25 and 10 pieces each, destined for the US and the UAE.
