Minute Repeater Tourbillon Reference 5303R-001

First shown in Singapore in 2019 as a 12-piece limited edition, Patek Philippe has introduced the Minute Repeater Tourbillon Reference 5303 to regular production. This grand complication is remarkable for the open architecture of the dial which allows a clear view of the striking mechanism including, for the first time, the hammers and gongs. This desire to reveal all continues with the tourbillon: the underside of its cage is visible through the subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. Circular-grained Côtes de Genève decorate the mainplate whose pink gilding contrasts with and accentuates the steel components. The case, in pink gold, is distinguished by a wide cambered bezel and by white gold inlays with an openworked "leaf" design around the caseband and on the lugs. The hour circle takes the form of a black lacquered sapphire crystal rim with hour dots in powdered pink gold.
