Pilot Automatic

Themes: Classic
Specificities: Pilot, Sport

Zenith trademarked the Pilot name at the turn of the twentieth century and the Pilot collection has consistently rocked a vintage aesthetic… until now and the launch of this contemporary revamp. The base model of this new Pilot line is the Pilot Automatic, with versions in brushed steel or matte black ceramic in a 40mm diameter. Both feature a flat-top round bezel on a more rounded case, whereas the large crown, a characteristic of aviator watches, gets a more angular form. Horizontal grooves on the black opaline dial mimic the look of the corrugated metal fuselage panels on classic aircraft. White Super-Luminova coats the oversized applied Arabic numerals as well as the hands. Above the date window at 6 o’clock, the luminescent hour marker becomes a flat white line that suggests a plane’s artificial horizon instrument. Visible through the sapphire back, the high-frequency El Primero 3620 in-house movement provides 60 hours of power reserve. The Pilot Automatic is supplied with two interchangeable straps.
