RM 07-01 Intergalactic Starry Night

Four new models join Richard Mille’s RM 07-01 collection of women’s watches. This new Intergalactic range is composed of Dark Night, Starry Night, Bright Night and Misty Night. Each interprets an explosion of stars in the darkness of night. Crafted from deep black Carbon TPT®, they introduce a new gem-setting technique in which red gold prongs secure the diamonds but also play a decorative role. Whereas gold is malleable, the hardness of Carbon TPT® requires the multiple settings, of different diameters, to be prepared with a diamond-bit milling tool before each of the 51 diamonds and 765 prongs can be inserted by hand on the bezel, case and dial, also in Carbon TPT®. All four Intergalactic watches are equipped with the in-house CRMA2 calibre. This skeletonised automatic movement in grade 5 titanium powers hour and minute functions. A variable geometry rotor, a characteristic feature of a Richard Mille watch, adapts winding to the wearer’s level of activity. As shown here, the contrast formed by the sparkle of diamonds against Carbon TPT® gives this watch, and the entire collection, its unique charm.
