Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition

Both limited editions of the Seamaster 1948 – one with centre seconds, the other with small seconds at 6 o'clock – take root in the Second World War when, between 1940 and 1945, Omega delivered more than 110,000 timepieces to the British Ministry of Defence for airmen and sailors. The war over, in 1948 Omega launched a civilian version of this robust, battle-proven watch, now the oldest line in its collections, with O-ring gaskets for even better water-resistance than the military versions. Two limited editions of 1,948 pieces commemorate the Seamaster's 70th anniversary this year. Both are fitted with the new-generation, METAS-certified Master Chronometer movement.
