Double Balancier Convexe
Greubel Forsey presents the latest interpretation of its sixth Fundamental Invention, namely the “double balancier” whose two balance wheels are each inclined at 30 degrees and separated by a spherical constant differential, with a four-minute rotational speed, that averages their rate. This new version is a showcase for the movement’s architectural dimension, with the two balance wheels and the differential occupying more than half the dial. This mechanism, which is completed by indications for small seconds and for the 72-hour power reserve, is housed inside a 43.5mm titanium case with a convex profile and a plunging line that mirrors the curve of the wrist. Every one of the almost 400 movement parts is hand-finished to Greubel Forsey standards, which are among the highest in the field. Only 22 of this Double Balancier Convexe will be made each year between 2022 and 2024, for a total 66 pieces in all.
