Gem-Set, Classic
Revealed to the world sixty years ago, the Ladybird was the smallest round watch in the world at that time. Just 11.85 mm across, this horological bijou was an overnight success. Now Blancpain is reissuing this style icon, in line with the canons of contemporary elegance. Its diameter, encased in white gold, has been increased to 21.5 mm… still a diminutive size that Blancpain has taken care to adorn with precious attire. Tucked beneath the mother-of-pearl dial, circled by a diamond-set bezel, is a self-winding mechanical movement with a 40-hour power reserve. With this limited edition of 60, Blancpain confirms, were it ever necessary, that a jewel-watch remains first and foremost a watch.
