Bulgari's Octo Finissimo claims yet another record for thinness. After the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon in 2014, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater in 2016 and the Octo Finissimo Automatic in 2017, the Italian firm – whose watchmaking facilities are located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland – defies the laws of physics once again with the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic and its 3.95-mm height. The movement, which is derived from the 2014 calibre, is wound by a peripheral rotor in white gold and aluminium and doesn't exceed 1.95mm thick. The 42mm case in sandblasted titanium has the look of the Octo collection whose angular contours go very much against the grain of reissues and vintage-inspired designs.
