Specificities:
Chronograph, Tourbillon
The movement of this RM 50-03 tourbillon split-seconds chronograph, with 30-minute totaliser and indicators for power reserve, torque and function, barely tips the scales at 7 grams. The entire watch, developed in partnership with McLaren, the famed F1 constructor, weighs a record-breaking 40 grams in total, including the strap. Its secret is the use of graphene, a revolutionary nanomaterial that is six times lighter but 200 times stronger than steel. Richard Mille's engineers have succeeded in injecting graphene into the 600 layers of TPT carbon filaments that are used to obtain an ultra-resistant case. The highly skeletonised movement is fashioned from grade 5 titanium.
