RM 52-05 Tourbillon Pharrell Williams

Richard Mille carries on a series of successful collaborations that give horological expression to the personalities of its artist and athlete “friends of the brand”. Doing the honours this time is award-winning singer-songwriter-producer Pharrell Williams, who channels childhood fantasies into the RM 52-05 (a 30-piece limited edition). Its tonneau-shaped case, crafted from brown Cermet and Carbon TPT®, surrounds a cosmic scene of Earth viewed from Mars, as reflected in the visor of an astronaut's helmet. This singular perspective portrays the vastness of the universe in the confines of a dial, thanks to the multiple expertise of an engraver, an enamel artist and a miniaturist. Such attention to detail is echoed in the tourbillon movement's baseplate; a kind of space shuttle for the wrist against a surface of sparkling blue aventurine glass.
