After last year's pairing with a minute repeater, the mysterious double tourbillon returns to delight us in a skeleton execution of the Rotonde. This seemingly free-floating complication is framed by openworked bridges that have been cut away to form Cartier's signature Roman numerals - an impression of transparency that produces a nonetheless powerful aesthetic. This double flying tourbillon makes one complete rotation on itself in 60 seconds, while the cage completes a second rotation in five minutes. The components are all hand-finished, from the chamfered bridges and drawn flanks down to the polished screw-heads.
