Classique Hora Mundi 5727

Themes: Design
Specificities: Time Zones, Classic
A watch intended to make life easier for global travellers and executives juggling with time zones, the Classique Hora Mundi, released in 2011, was the first timepiece to feature an instant time-zone jump with synchronised date, day/night and city indications. The 5727 reference is a more sedate interpretation of this prowess. Classic by name, the new Hora Mundi is also classic by nature. Clou de Paris and basketweave decorations, engine-turning, flame pattern, blued Breguet open-tipped hands, fluted white gold caseband… this watch is replete with detailing and characteristic fine watchmaking finishes. Not even its beauty, however, can outshine its functionality: the single set of hands are linked to a mechanical memory which keeps track of the current time in two time zones. When the wearer changes between zones, the date and day/night indications simultaneously follow.
