Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel and her couture atelier on Rue Cambon in Paris, Chanel's Watch Creation Studio has imagined this J12 Couture Workshop Automaton Calibre 6. Mademoiselle Chanel, scissors in hand, springs to life on the dial, while the mannequin bobs up and down against a printed backdrop filled with the trappings of a seamstress's workshop. Crafted from black ceramic on an integrated bracelet, set with 48 diamonds on the bezel, this J12 Automaton is fitted with Calibre 6, a new movement that was developed and assembled by Manufacture Chanel in Switzerland. A mechanical feat, with a single press of a pusher, its 355 components bring to life the delightfully detailed scene with its five levels.
